I am looking for information on Benjamin Griswold Hildreth who was baptized at the Independent Congregational Circular Church in April of 1803. His father was listed as Benjamin Hildreth and speculation is that his mother is Mary. Benjamin the father died a few years later and it is possible that the mother Mary remarried a man with the last name of "Goshen". The children were supposedly orphaned / indentured out to an aunt. We believe that this is the Benjamin Hildreth who went on to marry Jemima Dowling and moved into the Coffee / Dale counties of Alabama in the 1830's as a Methodist Circuit rider.
Hi! Don't know if I'm getting my mail from this list, because I haven't received any in awhile, but I would like to hear from anyone with a WESCOAT in their line. I know the family was spread all over the lowcountry and maybe the state. I'm having trouble putting together a line, so if you could send me whatever you have, I would appreciate it. Especially anything where you know the parents. Deborah Aldridge __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Bid and sell for free at http://auctions.yahoo.com

Hi Everyone! I just thought it would be nice if we all told Jerri Lynne what a terrific job she does on our list and our site. I have gotten so much great info from this forum, and I know, as the owner of a list, just how hard it is. Kudos, Jerri Lynne! You're great! Does anyone happen to have the passenger list of the "John and Mary" that sailed from Rotterdam to America (possibly Charleston?) in 1752. On board was Johann Jacob KHELE (KELLY) his wife and six children, one of whom, Jacob Andrew, was born during the voyage. Please let me know if you have this list or have access to the list. I would like to know for sure where the KHELEs entered the U.S. and also, what families traveled with them. Thanks! Kathryn

Hi. I am looking for anyone with 19th century Costello or Hogan roots. My great grandfather Michael Costello and his father Jeremiah came to Charleston about 1849 from Askeaton, Limerick, Ireland. Michael married Ann Hogan in 1859 and they had one son, Patrick, in 1860. He was a Johnny Reb, and also worked on the Ironclads. There were about 6 other Costello families in Charleston at that time. I have traced Daniel Costello back to Croom Parish, Limerick, Ireland. I am assuming quite a bit, but it was probable that they were all cousins from Limerick.
