Maybe someone could help me. I am trying to find the first marriage of Isaac Edwards Holmes YATES. He never used the name Isaac that I know of The only place I found it was in church records for his christening. Anyway sometime prior to 1884 when he married his second wife in Savannah, GA he was married and had one son. I don't know his first wifes name or anything. He was 11 in the 1850 census so sometime after 1855 and before 1884 there should be a record of his marriage. His family belonged to the Circular church. Could someone please help? Thanks, Laurie

Janyce, I found a David ADAMS mentioned as a witness for the will of Nathaniel ADAMS. I don't know how he is related it doesn't mention him anywhere else in the will. His will also mentions his daughter Ann ADAMS. Will of a David ADAMS mentiones 4 sons, Nathaniel, David, Barnard, and William; a brother Benjamin Jenkins. No mention of a wife. dated 27 Nov 1781 A will of Ettsel Lawrence mentions his son in law David ADAMS married to his daughter Mary will dated 31 Dec 1794. The will of JOhn ADAMS mentions his wife Ann and his brother in law who is an exors. Nathaniel ADAMS. It also mentions land purchased from Benjamin Jenkins. will dated 10 Sep 1780. That is all I found in one book dated 1783-1800. I was in hopes that someone (anyone) could give me information on my family. They came from Minden Prussia in 1842/3. My Great-grandfather, Louis Sherfesee served in Civil War. I have lots on him. I seemed to have come across a connection w/ the Boyds in the 1900 Census. Johanna Scherfesee Boyd. I don't have any clue when or who she married, but her sister, Elvina (who apparently never married) was living w/ them then. There were 2 daughters born to Johanna (Rose or Rosalie and Elvina Boyd). They too apparently never married as are buried in Magnolia Cemetery w/ many Sherfesee's. My GGGrand parents were August and Charlotte Sophia Scherfesee (that came from Prussia. I'm coming to Charleston from Houston next week just to do Genealogy research. If anyone can give me leads I would appreciate it.
