Are there books or film that contain the history of plantations during the late 17-18 hundreds in Berkeley County? I am looking for information regarding Rice Hope. According to a map it was located on the Copper River near the area where the river forks into the West Branch and East Branch. It was owned by the Ball family and later by Robert Allen Matthews.
