Mike and Bushy, I'm sure that hosting an active website and administering a mail list both involve a great deal of time and dedication on your part and, although we may not express it as often as we should, believe me that those efforts are certainly appreciated by those of us who benefit from them. As for your questions: 1. I see multiple websites as a positive rather than a negative. Each has its own special format and focus of interest. In my years of researching I can't recall even a single instance of a researcher complaining about there being too many sources. The more the better, especially for an area with the long history of Berkeley Co. I'm doubtful that any single site could possibly encompass all the various aspects - family records, church records, court records, plantation records, political history. 2. As for the mail list administration, being a native is of negligible importance compared to dedicated interest and activity, which you both exhibit. Not being natives might even be an advantage in keeping the list more balanced, avoiding it becoming too skewed towards the administrators own particular interests. I subscribe to several "place" lists and yours is definitely one of the more active and useful. Thanks for all the great work. Hope you'll keep it up.
