He is listed in 1800 SC Census in Darlington District; 1810 and 1820 SC Census in Sumter County. Son was Charles Hardy, born 1818, in or around Moncks Corner, SC. Entire family moved to Georgia about 1830. Other than census listing I have no difinitive info on Hugh Hardy or his origins. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Later generations well documented.
