Ray was born 4 July 1821 in MS and died 10 Sept 1885 in San Augustine Co., TX. He married Mary C. Bullock 19 Apr 1848 in San Augustine Co., TX. I have no idea what county James was born in over in MS. I do know though that is where his birthplace was because of locating him on the 1860 San Augustine Co., TX Census. It showed his occupation to be Carpenter.

Isaac's will mentions his daughter Charity, wife of Charles KING. The will of Isaac's widow Mary, written in 1762, names Charles KING as her son-in-law. Incidently, Charles KING's daughter and son-in-law Charity and Chapman GORDON were the paternal grandparents of General John B. GORDON (CSA) who was with Robert E.
