SC Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/SC/Berkeley/10395 Surname: Wilson, Altman ------------------------- Looking for info on John Wilson, Honey Hill, Berkeley Co. He was found in the 1850 census with his son, Isaac N. Wilson and his son's wife, Julia Elizabeth Jackson. He was born abt 1775 in SC according to the census. There seems to be a brick wall before 1850. Also looking for info on Julius Pringle Wilson and his first wife, Lula Altman. The time period is abt 1882 til 1888. They had at least two children, Samuel N? Wilson and A T Wilson(1888). AT was raised by his aunt Janie Wilson Altman and Sam Altman. Oral history handed down is that they came to SC before the civil war but the census says both John and Isaac were born in SC?????????? Hope some one knows SOMETHING. Thanks.

    1. [SCBERKEL] MCCABE line
    2. My husband is related to Benjamin Frnaklin McCabe (1847 - 1894) and we have found reference to a land holding somewhere close to McClellanville called Berkley Land & Stock Company. Has anyone ever heard/read of this? My husband and I went by the courthouse in Moncks Corner last year and found some records, but they were not very helpful in determing where this land holding might have been. If anyone has any information or can tell me how to get in touch with the histroical society, I would certainly appreciate it. Thanks Cheryl Flowers

    3. In case you didn't get my e-mail, here is more info on the Wilson Cemetery near Georgetown. Go northwest on SR 51 until you cross the Black River and reach a road that crosses 51, go right. The road is a county/forestry road. It isn't named on the map. It looks like the second road to the right. 3. I'm looking for info on two Wilson Cemeteries. One is located near Awendaw in Charleston County off US 17. How you get to Doar Rd. is your guess but turn off Doar Rd. onto Wilson Cemetery Rd. This is east of SR 17. GPS Coordinates: Latitude: 32.9906, Longitude: -79.6211. And the other Wilson Cemetery is located northeast of Georgetown on SR 51, Coordinates: Latitude: 33.5514, Longitude: -79.4025. I'm from Florida and found these cemeteries listed on the internet but no names or any other info. If ANYONE knows anything about these cemeteries please let me know. Thanks-a-million, Linda Young. _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com

SC Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/SC/Berkeley/10391 Surname: Robinson ------------------------- I am attempting to locate my son's grandfather. He was born in Goose Creek, (Berkely County)in the 30's. I know he entered the military and apparently was based for a time in England where he married Constance Helene Foster in 1953. They had a son named James David Robinson, born May 6, 1952 in England and later came to the U.S. I married James in 1981 and had his son in 1986. Unfortunately, the marriage did not last and there is no contact between the child and father, through no fault of mine. My son, Joshua, is curious about his heritage and I'm curious about ancestors for medical reasons. If there's anyone who can help me, I would be grateful.
