    1. [SCBERKEL] Beach Hill???????/
    2. Barry Fox
    3. On a family group sheet I see a notation for burial as "Beach Hill". This ancestor lived in the lowcountry (Colleton, Berkeley, and Charleston counties), but it could have been a matter of boundry lines changing in some cases, not a move. Anyway, does anyone recognize Beach Hill as a cemetery, a community,...? Any help would be appreciated. Barry Fox Greenville, SC

    1. [SCBERKEL] Will Bk #52 (1687-1710)
    2. Mike Hartman
    3. A couple of folks brought it to our attention that they were experiencing problems reading the Will Book 52 (1687-1710) web page; http://www.rootsweb.com/~scberkel/will_books/will_book52/WillBook52.htm that part of the table was off of the screen. Since I have my monitor set for 1024X768 pixels, I did not see that there was a problem, however, my wife's screen is only set to 800X600, we could see it on hers. After seeing the problem on my wife's screen, I changed the font size of the table, which in turn reduced the width of the table. The entire table now shows up on my wife's screen, so I believe that it should work okay for everyone else too. If anyone is still having a problem viewing the whole table on the screen, just let me know and I will make some further adjustments. Sorry. \ | / \ _ _ / < (o) (o) > --------oOOo-------U-------oOOo---------- Have a great genealogical day!, Mike

    1. [SCBERKEL] Web page update and question on Mixson/Mixon line.
    2. Bushy Hartman
    3. HI all, We have uploaded a section of the Berkeley Memorial Gardens Cemetery headstones, also a section of Macedonia Cemetery. I am still double-checking my spreadsheets for errors. There are a couple of broken links but Mike will fix those tonight, last night the server was out. Also George Ballentine contributed a portion of the St. Stephen Cemetery & all of Pine Tree Plantation Cemetery. THANK YOU GEORGE! There are also 123 pages of Will Book 52 from Charleston. All documents were kept in Charleston prior to 1795. Charleston library has now pulled numerous will book from their shelves due to wear. The only access to these is through microfilm, which I don't like using if I can help it. Sorry for only portions of these items but our camera can only take so many shots at one time. We've ordered a new camera that should increase the memory size greatly. The following cemeteries are now on the county web page: St. Stephen's (partial) Pine Tree Plantation Cemetery Calvary Baptist Church Cem. (AA) Mack Jackson Cem. Berkeley Mem. Garden Cem. (partial) Macedonia Church Cem. (partial) Rock Hill Baptist Church (AA) Moncks Corner Baptist Church (AA) Bethlehem Reformed Epis. Ch. (AA) Cemetery next to Victory Deliverance Ch. on Old Whitesville Rd. (if anyone knows anything about the lines in the last cemetery please let us know.) While in the Macedonia Cemetery I found three groups of MIXSON/MIXON headstones and I am trying to find where this line connects to the main line. If anyone has information on this I sure would appreciate it. Only one group of the Mixson headstones are on the web page but were hoping to get back out there this weekend to finish that cemetery, depends on the weather. Have a great day and show your patriotic pride by flying the flag and helping where possible. 2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/JeB.2ACI/618.1.1 Message Board Post: Hello Tommie, A number of Crosby families historians and genealogists with roots in SC and VA have established a website to put together and collaborate on information. I am also a descendant of Peter Crosby 1750, Barnwell(later Colleton)SC through Aaron. Our website includes participants from the Berkeley/Chester/Fairfield familes through William and Dennis. We have not seen a link in documentation between these two family lines. However, we are all working together in a chronological fashion to trace back ancestors. William, 1696, is the first with clear documentation. We are searching for documentation on his father, who many have said is Thomas from Virginia. We believe that everyone will learn a great deal by working together. Please let us send you a password. Look in the Peter Crosby family tree, authored primarily by Dick Crosby. Also see the Jacob Crosby tree. You might find it quite interesting. Crosby Turner, Atlanta
