They raised a family in Simpson County, Ms. children, Elias, Lily, Jackson, Lafayette and Mary. Hope you can help me. I have a little information on the Williamsons of Simpson County.     3. Hi Scott, Richland County was formed in 1785 and, until 1800, was part of Camden District. In 1800 almost all of the counties were made into districts. Thus Richland County became Richland District. Lexington County was also formed in 1785 and, until 1800, was part of Orangeburg District. In 1800 this county became a district just as Richland County did. Thus Lexington County became Lexington District. In 1868 all districts in SC again became counties. Richland and Lexington have been adjoining counties (districts-counties) from the time they were formed until today. Their daughter Hester Wells married William Harvin and had Margaret A. Harvin, which in turn married Balis Pinkney Byrum. They had their daughter Josephine Byrum, which married my g grand father, James William Whisenhunt. What I was told is Josephine Byrum's family was of Cherokee decent (on the mother's side). No one knew any thing on the mother side of Josephine, with me every thing was a dead ends until I found the family tree of the Harvin's. Then there was a confusion , some thought the surname was Harvert. I wish and pray you can help me with this part of my family tree, because this area is where my family started at!!
