According to an internet post, I believe I have found the ancestor of my relative, Margaret SWINTON who married John BENNETT. The parents of my Margaret SWINTON are, supposedly, Hugh SWINTON of Edinburgh, Scotland and Judith SIMONS, born 1 Mar 1711/12 of Berkeley Co., SC and died about 1781. Judith SIMONS parents are listed as Benjamin SIMONS I, born 1672 France, died 18 Aug 1717 at Berkeley Co., SC and his wife, Mary Ester DuPre of France who died 11 April 1717 at Berkeley Co., SC. Both are buried at Pumpkin Hill Church in Berkeley. They were married in 1692. If anyone has information on the SIMONS/SIMMONS, DUPRE, SWINTON or BENNETT families, I would appreciate it. I would like to take these lines further back and would love the names of any publications any of you might have come across concerning these families. Thanks! Fredreica speyer@bellsouth.net

SC Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/SC/Berkeley/292 Surname: Breaker ------------------------- Hello, My name is Robert Breaker III. I emailed you a while back about some questions. Now, after much research, I think we have the same questions. I told you my family came from Houston, Texas. Well, I traced them all the way back to Lewis Frederick Breaker there in St. James Goose Creek, South Carolina. He was the father of Rev. Jacob Manly Canty Breaker. Who was the father of George Henry Breaker, who was the father of Roland Trapp Breaker, who was the father of my grandfather Robert Breaker Sr. In otherwords, Lewis Frederick Breaker was my great great great great grandfather. Now I'm trying to find out where he came from. So, are you related somehow to Lewis Breaker? Also, do you live in South Carolina? I'll be going there the first of January. Maybe we could get together. Please write back soon, Robert Breaker III
Who is the contact person for the reunion the McCants hold in Moncks Corner, SC. Thanks, Fred
