Palmer, Mrs. Pearl M., 79, of Beaufort, S.C., Died December 27, 2001, in Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Widow of David "Manny" Palmer. Graveside services will be held Sunday, December 30, at 1:00 P.M. at Beth Israel Cemetery. Mrs. Palmer was born on January 30, 1922 in Bronx, New York to the late Muarray Margone and Rachael Cohen Margone. She was a resident of Beaufort since 1959. Was the owner and operator of The Yankee Restaurant for 25 years and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons: William "Billy" Palmer of Beaufort, Robert "Shorty" Palmer of Cape Coral Florida, and three grandchildren. Anderson Funeral Home is in charge. Pearl being a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary is probably an indication that Manny had served overseas during WW II. Also, Manny's obit indicates he had been survived by two grandchildren, Pearl's indicates three.
