Does anyone know what the criteria is for the title of Planter? I think I read somewhere (but where?) it was given when someone owned 22 slaves, enough to plant 200 acres. A person not meeting this standard would be a farmer. I need this information for a footnote so I will need to quote the source. Thanks for any help, Dottie Smith
