Hello, I am Eleanor, the project Co-Administrator of the University of South Florida Africana Heritage Project. Our mission is to rediscover precious records that document the names and lives of slaves, and to make that information available on a free, public access internet site. We are a joint project of the Africana Studies and Anthropology departments at USF. Our website, which will be hosted by Rootsweb.com, is in the final proofs stage, and we anticipate being live on www.africanaheritage.com within the next month.
