    3. Hello, It may be of help if you include your grandfather's full name and DOB. You may also want to get in touch with the wonderful folks at the Parris Island Museum. Their web page can be found at http://www.mcrdpi.usmc.mil/units/museum/about.htm and their phone number is (843) 228-2951. Surnames: FOSS * SCHEFFLER * BROCKSCHMIDT Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/IeB.2ACI/87 Message Board Post: I'm looking for any records pertaining to my Grandpa who was a boxing champ in 1918 at Parris Island. I have all of the original newspaper clippings he sent home to Grandma & his Mom. I also have his original discharge papers, service medals, and the telegram he had sent to his Mother telling her he was coming back home at the end of the war. I would love to have more info on him. I do know there were photos taken of him in the ring. I had seen one of them when I was a small child. Following the War, Grandpa owned his own business, became a MO. State Boxing Commissioner, a Shriner, and my life long inspiration. Thanks for any help anyone can provide. Proud Grand Daughter of a Marine. ============================== To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237
