Here is her OBIT and SSDI: The Winchester Star, Saturday, May 7, 1988, page 2, column 6. Virginia E. Rush Virginia (Betty) E. Rush, 63, of 2944 Valley Ave., died Thursday at the Winchester Medical Center. She was born Dec. 15, 1924, in Beaufort, S.C., the daughter of Brooks L. and Effie Mae Chadwick Hawk. She was married to Hugh M. Rush She was a member of the Centenary United Church of Christ and Women of the Moose Auxiliary, and an honorary member of the Winchester Volunteer Rescue Squad. Surviving with her husband are one son, Robert Lee Rush, of Stephens City; one sister, Mary Hawk Hughes of Winchester; two grandchildren; and two nephews. One son, Raymond McDaniel, Jr., is deceased. A graveside service will be Monday at 3 p.m. in Mount Hebron Cemetery, with Dr. Nathan Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Jones Funeral Home.
