Father: Jay J. CHANEY (in the military when one or more of the children was born) Mother: Ruby V. BULLOCK (from Milam County, Texas) CHANEY, Edna Gertrude - b: ca 1922 CHANEY, Bill (possibly John Bill) - b: ca 1923 CHANEY, Hubert Lee - b: 29 Jul 1924; d: 29 Jul 1970 (died on his 46th birthday from surgery complications) Ruby and both of the sons are dead; we are not sure about Jay and Edna. Ruby returned to Texas with her children ca 1927 and died in Texas in 1935. Jay was last seen by Ruby and the children ca 1927. There is a rumor that Jay re-married and had more children, but we do not know for sure; and we do not know if he was still in the military and/or still living in Parris Island at the time of the reported second marriage and/or other births.
