Hi!! My Beufort names are Richard DAVIS, son of Jessee and Richard's wife Elizabteh PORTER. Richard died about 1842 in Beufort and his cousin, Richard Williams DAVIS administered the estate for the children: Elizabeth M, Benjamin James, Robert R, Elvira C, Laura S, Julius Capus, and (my third gr-grandmother) Sarah Jane. Only thing I have on Elizabeth PORTER is app birthdate of 1790-1800. She relinquished all rights to the estate and guardianship of the children. Maybe she remarried soon after richard's death. Richard was born in St Peter's Parish. His cousin Richard, who administered the estate was the son of Richard DAVIS, Sr and wife Lydia WILLIAMS.
