The Savannah River is the parish's southern boundary, Robertsville, Purrysburg, and modern Hardeeville are within the boundaries of St. Peter's Parish. St. Peter's northern boundary includes the New River and the Great Swamp. St. Luke's Parish is to the north of St. Peter's. Modern Ridgeland is in St. Luke's Parish.
