I'm not finding ancestry to be user friendly when it comes to city directories. I'm looking for directories around 1870 until 1930. I'm searching for more information about Thomas Williams, african american, who lived in St Helena, Beaufort, District 10. in the 1870 census. his wife is Eliza. He also lived in st Helena District 49 in the 1880 Census.
