I have not had any luck with scanning negatives with flat bed scanners. I'm researching a "SmartScan 3600" right now . . . and it sounds good, but it's allot of money to spend if it doesn't work. Any help in this area would be greatly appreciated. Jake
Here's a link to the Epson Perfection 3200 scanner specs: http://www.epson.com/cmc_upload/0/000/021/183/SP3200PH_PRO_InfoSheet.pdf It sounds like a great product for the price. One of them sold today on eBay for $294. Hi, For all Brits on this list, in Orpington, Kent, I know that my local chemist has a photolab and they can get Kodak to put APS and 35 mil pics onto a Photo CD. Multi session too. Perhaps other formats too? Also, I believe most (every?) Boots photo processing department can get Kodak to do this too. Two sources in one town covering 80,000 souls (a quarter of the London Borough of Bromley)! Perhaps even more as I have not reccied other outlets! <grin> I also believe that Kodak can take both positives and negatives for the Photo CD's - certainly negatives can be produced from positives, so I assume that even old (sepia) pics could end up on a Photo CD? One way to preserve old pics? Once on a photo CD, I presume that any of us could then burn our own CDR's, CDRW's, DVD's, etc? Phil. Hi, Can a Olympus 2 Mpixel be upgraded to 3 Mpixel by changing the chip Nick Ashby Eastcote Middx England
Digital cameras are not "upgraded" by changing chips, just the storage card to hold more pictures of the same size. Mpixel is not as important as the quality of the lens. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nick Ashby" Can a Olympus 2 Mpixel be upgraded to 3 Mpixel by changing the chip
Such a step would be something a technician would need to advise you on. It is not something you can "buy over the counter". Lance Got Outlook? I have bought an early Olympus ES10 dedicated film scanner. Works ok on slides, but with color negatives,do I have spend hours, trial & error,on the color curves,to get the picture looking correct? Or is there an easier way Nick Ashby Eastcote Middx England
