I have a HP 1120C, an earlier version of your 1220CSE no doubt. I have had this printer for about 4 yrs. It has an option in the "features" section of the setup to print banners. I have never had a desire to print a banner. I have recently used this printer to print posters to 11" X 14" by expanding a 8.5" X 11" document in MS Word to fit 11" X 14" paper.
