Winifred, My tale of woe... I upgraded to ME and my EPSON 636U would not work! After downloading and installing new drivers and a long phone conversation with EPSON I got it to work. I then upgraded to XP and my troubles started again. I finally gave up and purchased an EPSON 1250 and gave my 636U to my wife. Now everything is working great! My recommendation, get and save the download, install it later, and start scanning.
