    3. Hello Listers, I am not sure whether questions about digital cameras belong to this list, but I will ask mine, and be happy to be pointed to a more appropriate place if need be. For 5 years I have had a Kodak DC210, with Twain software and Adobe Photo Deluxe 2.0. I have recently bought a Canon G2, and it comes with WIA and Twain software, and Adobe Photoshop 5.0. I am running Windows XP Home on a 120 GB hard drive with 512 MB RAM. There is plenty of space to leave the old applications on when I install the new ones. I am worried, however, that the applications may "fight." Do you think I should uninstall the applications that came with the Kodak DC210 before installing the Canon G2 software? Up until last fall I was running Win95B on a 2.99 GB hard drive with 32 MB RAM. In 1998, when I added an HP 722C Deskjet to my mix (I had an HP Laserjet 6L as my main printer) the software CD put Corel on my machine. Corel promptly disabled Adobe Photo Deluxe from acquiring pictures from the digital camera and then eventually Corel ate its own exe. So nothing worked! Eventually I manually uninstalled all of Corel. Quite a task. From then on Adobe and Adobe Photodeluxe 2.0 were a pleasure. Does anyone on this list have an idea what I should do? Of course, I could just put the installation CDs in and run them. But I'd like to avoid the problems I ran into with Corel and Adobe both on my earlier hard drive. -- Best regards, Mary
