Elaine, Why are you trying to avoid attachments? It is possible to insert an image in a message sent as HTML similar to inserting an image in a word processor file. Mailing lists normally are set for plain text with no attachments. I prefer to receive text with pictures attached from my relatives and friends so that I can save the images. Received a holiday greeting that seems to have no way to save the picture except as a screen capture. Remember the image extension and then search the hard drive for *.JPG.
