    3. I have just been reminded that earlier, the address for this list was scanners-photos-L/[email protected] The "tech" part has been removed, so if your postings aren't getting through, please to change your address book. None of us got any warning on that one. Ann

    3. Dear All: Here is an after Christmas problem I need to solve. My grandson gave me Windows XP for Christmas and installed it on my computer, then flew to England. Almost everything works except one item I hate to lose. I have 2 scanners: 1. An Epson 2459 Perfection that is doing fine. 2. My old stand-by HP Scanjet 4c which I still wnat to use, but won't work. I checked with Hewlett Packard on the Internet, and there is a Download called HP DeskScan 2.9 driver and Copy utility. I can download and installit directly, or download it to my Download file and install it later. There is no warranty on it. You use it at your own risk. Does anyone else have experience with this, or have helpful advice for me?

Downloading new ones form HP is the thing to do. If you need additional help, you might want to try the computer list at computers-l. 3. It should work. But if it doesn't what have you lost? At most you'll have to re-install your new Windows XP. 3. Nah...just go to "restore" and get things back to where they were before your experiment. 3. Dear All: Apologies for that unfinished letter that went out under the wrong title "Emai address", and without a signature. I am resending it, I hope properly. Here is a better copy.
