Name and model of scanner for 35mm slides, please. I have a great many from the 50's which I want to preserve on CD's for my family. My dad was a photog and left me hundreds! Thanks for any information and suggestions.
Minolta that takes multiple slides at one time is the favorite, purchased Elite model that looks like the one at this link along with separate APS adaptor. http://shop.minoltausa.com/ If you need to work with uncut film, that needs a different style of 35mm film scanner. Scanning once slide at a time is slow if there are many. 2400 dpi with an early slide scanner produced 16 mb files with highly detailed dust spots. Organize and identify slides in advance so that the files can be given meaningful names at the time of scanning. ----- Original Message ----- > Name and model of scanner for 35mm slides, please.

I don't want to be accused of selling something, so I will answer you direct to your email address. I only know the scanner I bought last month works great compared to some of the earlier ones I had.
Hi Please include me too. I'm going to be needing a new scanner soon and want to scan many of my colour transparencies. Thank you. I bought a Microtek Scanmaker 5900 that features 35mm scans. Haven't had time to pursue it very much yet, but I have hundreds of slides from many trips to Europe and around the US. Just need to get the time to scan them. Wolf camera will do it for a fee but I just have too many to go that way.
