I can't tell you anything about the location of McAdoo Creek, but I do know something about the Major families of the area. My ggg Grandfather was Daniel Major, d.1819. his oldest son was Elijah Major, 1802 - 1855. His 2nd son, James, 1804 - 1861, was my gg Grandfather. There were several Elijah Majors in the area: The one we call the Old Elijah, Elijah, son of Epps Major, and my Elijah. Do you happen to know which Elijah was selling the property? I have quite a bit of info from my Daniel forward, but have not been able to tie him to any of the other Major families of the area. I am sure there is a connection, but have not been able to establish it, yet. From which Major family do you descend? I will look forward to hearing from you.
