Wanting to know if anyone out there is connected to this family line. I have found several cousins in the past, and would like to continue fidning family members. My husband's granfather was Frank Dewitt SIMPSON (1903-1993), and he was married to a Vergil Elmina (EVANS) SIMPSON (1900-1972). Frank's parents were James RAMPEY (who was never married to Dora SIMPSON, but they had two children together), and Dora SIMPSON (1883-1907). Dora's parents were Michael Pinckney SIMPSON (1851- 1928) and Mary Jane (MCKEE) SIMPSON (1843- 1914). Michael's parents were Matthew SIMPSON (~1824-) and a Maria C. SIMPSON (~1824- before 1860 but after 1851). Mary's parents were James MCKEE (1810- 1895) and Sarah (CUNNINGHAM) MCKEE (1810-1885). Sarah's parents were Francis CUNNINGHAM and Rachel (MAY) CUNNINGHAM. Rachel's parents were Daniel MAY (~1777- 1853) and Polly MAY. Daniel's parents were William MAY (~1747-1832) and Lucy (THOMAS) MAY. Most of the more recent ancestors lived in the Iva area, or Lowdesville area, while some of the others lived in GA, and NC.
