Joe, My Great Grandfather was George Washington Smith born 1837 died 1904/1906. He was mustered into the Civil War in Anderson County in 1861. He married Eliza Jane Cooper from Greenville County and later moved to Laurens County. I believe his parents where George Smith and Elizabeth. These Smiths are hard to trace. A.
