J. Jasper ADAMS (1793-1841) and his wife Placidia MAYRANT (1797-aft. 1850). They settled in Pendleton, Eastern Div., Pickens Dist. (now Anderson County) after leaving Charleston, where he was president of the College of Charleston. Their children: i. Anzie R. ADAMS (1828-1850) m. Dr. John C. CALHOUN, Jr. ii.
