Not all of the Howell families in Monroe Co., MS were from SC. There is a completely different Howell family in Monroe County. This is the family of Lewis Howell. Lewis Howell was the son of John Howell 1754-1843 in Wayne Co., NC. So far, they are not related to the SC Howell family.
