Do you have any connections to George D. KING, 1820-1854, son of Peter KING 1770-1870, son of Robert KING 1756-1826. Jim McConnell >> Jim, to be honest, I don't know. I don't know Dorcas King's family, only that she was born ca. 1807 and was married in 1823 while still a girl. Her husband, Alfred Moore, was 7-8 years older than she. But the Moore family was from Anderson, I would assume Dorcas' family was nearby, so this is a strong possibility. Their children were: Joseph Abner (Alfred's son), Sarah Anna, Julius Langdon, John David, Paul and Peter (twins, I think), Willis Harrison, Clifford Lewis, Alfred Jr., George, and Tyler Henry. Alfred & Dorcas lived at "Five Mile" in Pickens late in life. Maybe you will recognize some family names -- Patti in VA
