Anderson County, In truth, I think every thing west of the Seneca River was once claimed by Georgia, even some of southwestern North Carolina and was Cherokee lands during much of the 18th century. The resolution of the boundary involved granting the Savannah River to Georgia. The point may be moot. In any event, I have never seen a land grant or deed in Pendleton District that makes any reference to Georgia or Franklin County. Jim McConnell
