Posted on: Anderson County, SC Queries Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/SC/Anderson/1677 Surname: Wilhite, Baker, Hilley ------------------------- In the Old Silverbrook Cemetery, Anderson, SC are buried Cora Hilley Wilhite Baker, wife of W F Baker and two of their children Leila Augusta Baker(age 14 mos) and Cora Wilhite Baker(age 1 yr). According to the Anderson Co SC 1880 census, there were two other children left to live with the Wilhite grandparents when the mother Cora died, probably about 1879. One was Lillian Baker (age 4 in 1880) and the other was Philip W Baker (age 1 in 1880). These two grew up and are slightly remembered by aging relatives, but no one now knows what became of them. Lillian is thought to have lived at one time somewhere near Duke University in Durham NC. Does anyone know of these two children? Any leads on this family would be appreciated.
