Can anyone help me solve the following conflict of "which" Jesse SIMPSON married Isabelle WELBORN, daughter of Aaron. My Jesse SIMPSON was born 1785 VA died 1856 (estate papers) Jackson Co, GA. He was married to Isabell Welborn?? This Isabell died in 1850 Jackson Co, GA; the mortality schedule shows that she was born 1789. And while some researchers seem to think that the Jesse Simpson above is probably the one married Isabella Welborn, others state that Isabella Welborn, (daughter of Aaron Welborn and Elizabeth Younger) didnt married this Jesse Simpson, but yet another Jesse Simpson and that she died in NC. And try as I may, I cant really find primary evidence to prove either case. Although, circumstantial evidence does appear to point completely in the direction of my Jesse Simpson. NC connection..
