My William H. Stephenson was born in 1817 in SC and was married to Salina C. Browning who was born in Dekalb County, Georgia in 1830, quite a coincidence. As far as I can determine, William was living with Salina in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, in 1860. He joined the 24th Alabama Infantry Regiment in July of 1861 from Tallapoosa County. Now I wander if my William had two wives? If you find any more info on this matter please let me know and I will do likewise. Charles R.
