Chuck.. When I went to school in MS. My grandmother told me to look up the Leavells.. I couldn't find them. Years later my first cousin ran into William Faulkner when he was at the U. of VA. Faulkner asked about my family.. For years I searched for the connection with Leavells and with Faulkner. As it turned out. There were seventeen Leavell brothers... (Originally from SC) ..They were all Baptist ministers and they were raised next door to Faulkner (the author)... My family in Anderson were ardent Baptist.. I think one many years ago may have been connected to Anderson College but am not certain of that..
