My Great great grandfather Samuel Franklin McConnell bought property on Little Generostee Creek at the boundary of Dark Corner and Savannah Twp. in 1870. The property had belonged to William Hewin and was foreclosed on by William Sherrard in 1869. Mary E. Hewin asserted her dower right in court in 1875. John Sherrard and Samuel Franklin McConnell were Trustees in the land transactions for the Grove ARP Church. Jim McConnell
