I think the title is 4th Regiment or something like that. I lent mine and it was not returned. The book consists of his letters home while he was in the Conf. service through First Manassas. He was older so was sent back to SC to be a recruiter. The book is still available. His son also served and they have some descendants in the area of the Anderson-Pickens county line near the Slabtown community I think. If you happen to be related to Crayton Reid, CSA veteran, I have a rough photo of him in uniform and lengthy obituary. He was born in Abbeville county, joined Conf. army from Anderson, then became a merchant in Walhalla after the war.
