Deason, My gg-grandfather William H. Stephenson was born in 1817 in the Anderson District of SC., according to his Civil War Records. The Anderson District didn't form until about the 1820s so it is assumed that he was born somewhere in one of the three counties that form from the Anderson District. His parents are James and Margaret Stephenson. Would you please check and see if any of these people appear in the book, Gone to Georgia. Thanks very much. Charles R.
