He does have a son named William but I have no information on him. My line is through his daughter Nancy. Joshua Pruitt married to Mary Fowler, born about 1753 in Halifax Co. Va, died abt. 1843 in Anderson Co.Joshua Pruitt was a Lieutenant Colonel in the NC Militia during the American Revolution. He enlisted with his brother Ransom in the 4th Regiment, North Carolina Line, on June 1, 1776. Josuhua Prewit (FPA S39027), under Capt. John Nelson, 4th Regiment, North Carolina Line, commanded by Colonel Thomas Polk. He was the son of William Prewitt. Spellings change so he maybe who you are looking for.
