Hello, Anderson has had a lot of MAJOR storms over the past week and while I was out of town last week, someone used my computer and forgot to unplug. Needless to say, my computer has crashed, a lot of damage has been done to it, and very little was recovered. I almost had the obituary pages redone but now will go back and work on them again, I have brought everything from the archive site back down to my computer, so none of that information was lost. Unfortunately, my own family tree was lost and cannot be recovered. I had a backup zipdisk but my mother used it and didnt realize what it was. SO I have to reload my 10 years worth of data (over 1700 names)in by hand. I do have paper copies of almost everything. This is a reminder to everyone to backup, backup, backup EVERYTHING,(and don't let your mom borrow your stuff). If you use family tree and back up to floppy disks, get a zip drive. I also had 3 different sets of backups on floppy that cannot be read because it extends over 4 disks. You never realize what you have until it is gone and then its usually tooo late.
