I don't know of the people that you are asking about, but just had to ask when I saw your last name.... have you ever heard of any of the following folks: Thomas and Rebecca Barfield. They were born in the 1850's and were listed on the 1900 census of Marion County, S.C. Some of the children were: Ernest, Tommy, Jesse, Lilly, Mary, Maggie, and Tennie (Tennessee).
