Hello, I have family from the Pendleton area of South Carolina going back to the 1820s and prior. It seems that name does not exist anymore as a county in SC. I do not know that much about the area or its history. I'd appreciate any info. My fifth great-grandparents were (paternal)Henry Drummond and Sarah Canady; (maternal)David and Susan Melton.
