I have been there. It is hard to get to. You need permission from landowner. This quote is from "Country Cousins - Descendants of Samuel Dean," by me. Beverly Dean Peoples "Samuel and Gwenny Dean are believed buried in the Dean Family Cemetery which is located in a wooded area between Mountain Creek Road and Stevenson Rd. in Starr, Anderson Co., SC. The cemetery is located on the middle of three high hills between two small branches of Mountain Creek. Present day it can be found toward the middle of two pipelines that cross the area. The 36 or more graves have worn fieldstones that no longer carry inscriptions. This is on the land that was settled by Samuel Dean and that remained in the family until recent years.
