Hi, My Vaughan records show that Newton Davis Brown was the son of Spencer Cicero Brown and Catherine "Katie" Carroll. Spencer was the son of Nicholas Brown, wife unk; b. c1815 Pendleton, Anderson Co., SC, d. 26 Mch 1885 Seneca, Oconee Co., SC Katie was b. c1820 SC, d. 18 Nov 1897 Seneca, Oconee Co., SC. I also have a record showing that Spencer was b. c1820 GA, possibly Franklin Co. I really don't have a great deal on the Brown Family as I'm researching the Vaugh(a)n Family.
