Gail Roland/Rowland/Rolin Turner b. about 1866 wife: Eliza/Liza b. about 1889 children: Stella b. abt. 1906 later married William/Bill Hughes/Hughs Perline b. abt 1914 later married James Leonard Sanders note: Perline/Pearline died in 2003 in Anderson (see below) William b. abt 1920 Note: Perline told me that she had 2 other brothers: Colie and Felton Sanders and as you can see she had 2 other sisters besides Stella mentioned the 1920 census. I have listed a portion of Pearline's obituary below. 2/23/2003 (Publication Date) ANDERSON — Mrs. Sanders, age 89, of E Whitner St., Anderson, died Friday, Feb. 21, 2003 at the Blue Ridge Nursing Center in Easley. She was the daughter of the late Roland and Eliza Turner. Mrs. Sanders retired in 1972 from Wellington Mills (Gluck) after 37 years service. She was an avid Atlanta Braves Baseball Fan. She was a lover of the out doors and enjoyed fishing and gardening. Mrs. Sanders also had an ear for music and taught many of her grandchildren their first steps at dancing. She had attended the Homeland Church of God. She lived a full life and was loved by all who knew her. MeMaw will be much missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leonard Sanders and a son, Melvin Sanders. Brothers, William and Felton Turner. Sisters, Stella Hughs, Grace Long and Jeannette Guyton.
