Taylor are named as minors over the age of 14 and received distributive shares of the estate of James T. Taylor who died intestate. 3 - The petition of Anna Taylor requests John B. Leverett consent to act as guardian of Catherine and Sallie Taylor (minors over the age of 14). 4 - Bondsmen named as Thomas T. Hill, R. G. Martin, G. L. McGee, John B. Leverett and J. C. Hall. 5 -The annual return dated January 27, 1874, within the guardianship papers of EllenTaylor names Elijah Taylor, deceased, Feb. 1873. ============ Notes regarding Mary [Leverett] Taylor. 1 - ...may have married Elijah Taylor; Elijah and Mary Taylor legatees of Nancy Leverett Tucker who d 1857 in Anderson Dist SC[i] 2 - Elijah and Mary Taylor received 1 distributive share of estate of Thomas Leverett, dec'd 1860.[ii] Additional information by compiler: Thomas Leverett & Nancy Tucker are children of Stephen (b1765 VA, d 1853 Anderson SC) & Martha Atkinson Leverett of Anderson (Martha Leverett b1769 Amelia Co VA, d1849 Anderson Co., SC.)[iii] 3 - Elijah Taylor dec'd by Feb 3, 1873 as his estate paid to Ellen, James T., Sally & Catherine Taylor in James Taylor's estate Children's names were obtained from the James Taylor estate papers found within the guardianship of Stephen Leverett for the Taylor children.
