    3. I do know where the well is. It is where Highway 20 crosses 252. It is still there...at least it has been kept up. My father lives about a mile from the well on 252. It is actually on Brown Ave. Extension out of Belton. When you cross over the bridge going from Belton, which is right there at the well, the road's name is then called "Trail Road". My father told me something about a man in one of the wars watering his horse there. I will have to talk with him some more to give you the exact details. I have no idea if there has been a book written about the area. Hope this helps some. Hi, Has anyone seen, read or been told about the history of Craytonville? I've picked up anecdotes about people who lived in or around Craytonville as it used to be on a main route. I know there was an old well there near the cross roads.at least I think it was a cross roads.but I can't seem to find out who the town was named for, when it began, etc. Does anyone know?
