Carson/Rachel Frances Whitten from Anderson County, South Carolina. 1850 census show in Western Dist., 1870 census in Oconee Cty., and 1880 census Garvin Township, Anderson Cty., When did John and Frances die? Where buried? John C. Carson b abt 1820 married in 1841 to Rachel Frances Whitten, b abt 1824 Children: James Aaron Carson, b 1846 m Sallie Wright Charles L. Carson, b abt 1850, m Mary Emily Carson, b abt 1854, m John Massey Elizabeth Carson, b abt 1856 Jefferson B. Carson, b 9/17/1861, m Alcie Potts from Georgia - moved to Texas Mary Carson, b 1864, died before 1870 Florence Carson, b 1868 John is believed to be son of James and Tolley Carson of Pickens/Anderson County. James died in 1838 in Anderson Cty. Cannot locate Tolley after his death. Their children are listed in James' Will as: William James Madison Narcissa Lemuel John Sarah Ann Allen William and Narcissa are shown as already left home in the Will and James ask that his wife keep younger children together. Any help will be appreciated and I will be happy to exchange any information I have. Phyllis Carson
